Nimee Outlasts Neitzel for Victory at Plymouth

Neitzel and Nimee would set the pace of the front row of our 25 lap feature of the night. Nimee would jump to the early lead until the 26 of Tischendorf would go for a wild one in turn one. He would walk away from the scene. We would try it again a second time, then Scotty Thiel would be the next to draw out a caution. On the third green flag, we would begin the feature again with Nimee leading the way around the Plymouth Dirt Track.

This would only be until the 2022 IRA Champion of Jordan Goldesberry would get bitten by the mechanical gremlin and force him to retire for the night. It would still be the 79 of Nimee leading the way. Nix-Six Motorsports driver Jake Blackhurst on the restart would continue to gain ground on the 2w heading down the backstretch. Neitzel’s command of second would be reeled back in with Sage Fruit/Hepfner Racing Products Rookie of the Year points leader would draw out our next caution who was around in turn two.

We would only have five laps in the books, with Nimee continuing to lead the way followed by Neitzel and Blackhurst. Soon after the green dropped again, the leader would hit lap traffic in a hurry beginning the dance of the night. With ten laps in, it was 79, 2W, 96, 10W, and 79M. We would bring out another caution for the 4B of Biertzer at a stop in turn two.

We would release the field once more with thirteen laps for Nimee. We would then race to the checkered to end the night with Blake Nimee bringing home round one of the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown, Neitzel second, and Jake Blackhurst would round out the podium.

The IRA Sprint Car Series are back in action tonight at Angell Park Speedway for their season opener and Dahlke Family Night.
