Season Update 7/20/23

The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints are back in action tomorrow at Outagamie Speedway presented by Klink Equipment & Elite Coatings Inc for the kick off of #fairseason for 2023.

The Outagamie County Fair is the first of four fairs the series will be featured on. The rest of the fair appearances are as follows:
August 19th: Wilmot Raceway - Kenosha County Fairgrounds
August 20th: Angell Park Speedway - Cornfest
September 2nd: Plymouth Dirt Track - Sheboygan County Fair

Next weekend the IRA Sprints are back in action Friday night at Plymouth Dirt Track for the 3rd Annual Road America Challenge with 360 Sprints. This race is slated to be $5,000 to win, $400 to start the feature for the 410s. Mike Kertscher, President of Road America, previously raced with the IRA Sprint Car series back in the early 2000s claiming Rookie of the Year and was nominated for 410 Rookie of the Year in 2003. Kertscher also has numerous IRA victories under his belt.

In addition to the 410 action present, the MSA 360 Sprint Cars will be in attendance racing. Wisconsin NASCAR driver Josh Bilicki will be strapping into a 360 Sprint Car as well for the night in the Professional Plating Inc Sippel Racin’ number 38.

Tickets are available now! Get them here: https://www.myracepass.com/series/1012/tickets/1325244

Following the Road America Challenge Friday night at Plymouth, the series will conclude the weekend at Wilmot Raceway for Founder’s Night. This race will also be $4,000 to win, $400 to start. Founders night is a tradition held by the IRA Sprint Car Series to celebrate and honor the founders of the series that fans know today. Racers are racing for their name to be added to the coveted Founder’s Night Trophy.

After the July 28th and July 29th races, the series will take a couple of weeks off to allow teams to compete in the Knoxville Nationals. We wish all of our drivers the best of luck.

The series will return to action following the nationals for the continuation of #fairseason with the Kenosha County Fair Saturday August 19th and Corn Fest Sunday August 20th.
