Ty Courtney of Indianapolis, IN worked his way slicing through the field to score the 30-lap feature win of the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions/Bumper to Bumper Interstates Racing Association(IRA) Sprint Car Challenge at the IRA's home track of Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, May 13.

Courtney, current All Star pointleader, captured his third All Star win of the season and first at Wilmot.. Courtney overtook early race leader Hunter Schuerenberg of Sikeston, MO on lap nine, pulling away to the win. Chris Window of Canton, IL finished second after a tight battle with Schuerenberg during the last half of the main. Schuerenberg finished third. Sheboygan's Scotty Thiel fourth. Tim Shaffer of Aliquippa, PA finished fifth.

Clayton Rossmann of Wadsworth, IL made it two feature wins in a row at Wilmot taking top honors in the 20-lap CK Contractors/AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints main. Rossmann shot to the inside coming out of turn two with two laps to go to get past early pacesetter Allen Hafford of Beach Park, IL. Hafford held on to second. Jimmy Sivia of Winthrop Harbor, IL was third. Oconomowoc's Ryan Zielski was fourth. Racine's Derek Crane fifth.

"I didn't realize there was only two laps to go," admitted Rossmann. "I was just watching Allen to see if he bobbled in the bottom, and he left me just enough room. Two in a row is amazing."

Pleasant Prairie's Mike Neau led wire to wire in the 20-lap IRA Lightning Sprint feature in their season debut at Wilmot. Three cautions failed to hamper Neau, the defending 2022 Wilmot champion, from scoring the victory. Oak Creek's Mark Heinert was second. Union Grove's Andrew Kiedrowski third. Nick Petska of Spring Grove, IL fourth. Ron Brannam of Barrington, IL fifth.

"It's great to get the win out of the box, but we're not running for points this year," Neau stressed, noting he may not be back out until the July 8 World of Outlaw Larry Hillerud Memorial show. "We're going to do other family things, but I have to thank my dad, Larry, and all of our sponsors for their support. Our Dream Chaser Racing Team cars finished 1-2 and 4, which isn't bad."

Wilmot Raceway resumes action on Saturday, May 20 featuring the CK Contractors/AutoMeter Wisconsin WingLess Sprints, modifieds, IRA Lightning Sprints and Street Stocks.

Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with on track activity getting underway about 5:30 and racing slated for approximately 6:45 p.m. Grandstand admission for adults ages 12 and over is $15.00, children ages 7-11 are $5.00 with ages 6 and under admitted free.
