IRA Interstate Racing Association

Meeting Information

IRA FALL MEETING MOVES TO NEW DAY AND LOCATION
The annual IRA Fall membership meeting will be held at "Friends" On Forest Home in Greenfield, WI on Monday night November 10th. The address is 5614 W. Forest Home Ave in Greenfield. Nice little racing bar with a meeting room attached. Easy to get to by taking 894 to 60th St exit, go N a couple lights, make a right on Forest Home and "Friends" is about 2.5 short blocks (just past 58th) on the left. Kim Tennyson and I both have busy work travel schedules during this time of year, and this is rare day that found us both available.
Ofcourse this will be basically LAST CALL to order banquet tickets, so we'll discuss the banquet, go over the 2014 season and the tremendous success of it and if there is any tweaking we can do to make 2015 even better. Also the current terms of two board members are up and their renomination, and potential new nominations will be held also. Each year the schedule process seems to start earlier and earlier and all ready here in early October it seems to be at a fever pace. The competition and demand for dates has been overwhelming thus far. With Labor Day being a week later next year, and with the Knoxville Nationals and our 3 Fair dates all moving back a week too, there will be some date shuffling so putting this year's schedule together will be a little more complex, though all good. We have another year left on our current Bumper to Bumper contract and 4 more years on current Hossier deal so 2015 is guaranteed to provide another substantial and stable point fund. I hope many of our teams can attend the meeting as basically we just have a Fall and a Spring meeting before opening night of 2015. We'll be set up for last minute banquet ticket sales at 7pm on meeting night, with the meeting coming to order at 7:30. Again we hope many teams are represented, and any potentially new teams for 2015 are certainly welcome too.
Anyone that has any product opportunities to add to our banquet product drawing, we certain would welcome them. Also if anyone knows of companies that would like to get involved with IRA as an associate or event sponsor we certainly would welcome those as well.
I appreciate the tremendous support we received last year and sincerely want to thank everyone who supported us in 2014. So please get with Kim on on your banquet orders, and don't forget that there is a fast approaching hotel reservation discount deadline of October 24th, so please don't delay and get those banquet details handled. Who would have thought that in our 410/winged sprint car world, that IRA would be the most stable and have the most longevity of any series in the country. It is true!
See ya on the 10th,
Steve
